Parbhani District
History:
In , Hingoli was Tarka in the Parbhani district and was part of the Nizam administration. It was a military base in Nizam because it was a town on the border with Vidarbha. During this period, the military, hospitals and veterinary clinics were operated from Hingori. The inhabitants of Hingori witnessed two major wars between Tipu Sultan and the Maratha in 1803 and between Nagpurkar and Bosser in 1857. As a military base, the city was one of the most important and famous places in Hyderabad. The area of the district today became part of Bombay State in 1956. This area was excised from the Parbani area on May 1, 1999.
