History:

Latur District has an ancient historical background. The King of the Rashtrakuta dynasty, "Amogvarsha," originally developed the city of Latour, the home of the Rashtrakuta dynasty. The Rashtrakuta dynasty, which inherited the Charkya dynasty of Badami in 753 AD, called themselves the inhabitants of Ratal. King Amoghavarsha of Avinash originally developed the city of Latur, the birthplace of Rashtrakutas.
