Mumbai Suburban District

History:

Mumbai Suburban was established on October 1, 1990, when the Mumbai district was divided into Mumbai City and Mumbai Suburban. In 1734, Mumbai and its surroundings were under Portuguese control. Later, Mumbai Island (Bombay Island) was given to the Queen of England around 176061. The west is the Arabian Sea and the east is the border of the Sain district. This administrative unit formed the border of the Bombay suburbs known as Saleset and was part of Goa, which was under Portuguese control until 17772.
