History:
Ranipet is the capital and regional capital of Ranipet in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Ranipet (illuminating the Queen's colony) is an industrial center of Southern Chennai in the southern city of India. Ranipet was built in 1771 by Sadut-ulla-khan, Nawab of Carnatic, in honor of the young widow of Desingh Raja of Gingee, who made Sati dead at the death of her husband. On August 15, 2019, Ranipet became the regional capital of Ranipet following the announcement of the newly formed district.
