Mukundra Hills National Park is also known as the Darrah Wildlife Sanctuary. Darrah Wildlife Sanctuary is located in Rajasthan. The sanctuary is located on the southeastern border of the city of Kota. Darrah was declared a (protected area) wildlife sanctuary in 1955, and visitors now need to ask permission from the local forest rangers to visit the park. The total area of the sanctuary is approximately 250 km2. The park was approved by the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) in 2013 and the country (Rajasthan) took third place for the tiger by way of the Mukundra Hills Tiger Reserve. The sanctuary is open all year round except between the 1st of July and the 30th of September. The sanctuary is open to visitors from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
